wall is gone but what's next?

After we removed the wall... we faced another challenge.

We were hoping those beams were NOT structural bearing beams. But of course, they were.

Our journey to find the right contractor began. I don't know if it's because of COVID or what, but nobody was responsive. Oh, maybe that's not completely true. They were all so nice at first but once we sent them the plans we got from a structural engineer, they kept disappearing. It took us almost 6 months to finally find somebody willing to help us. And yes, we were living with this unfinished kitchen meanwhile. What a nightmare it was....

On the bright side, literally, our kitchen got brighter :)

I can see the sunrise from the kitchen and I can see my girls taking naps!! I already love it even though I'm still using the temporary sink for the last 6 months. Little by little every day!
